Will Justin Bieber Avoid Being Tagged With Assault Charge?

Here's something that might get the "U Smile" singer grinning.

In the wake of allegations that Justin Bieber attacked a fellow youngster while playing laser tag in Canada, a source North of the border tells E! News that early stages of the police investigation indicate that it is "highly unlikely" the 16-year-old sensation would be charged with assault.

But why?

It seems that surveillance tape from the gaming facility failed to capture the alleged melee, says the source, adding that eyewitness statements do not back up the claims made by the 12-year-old boy.
Of course, whether or not Bieber himself was even involved in the alleged altercation is still a bit of a mystery as the Richmond Royal Canadian Mounted Police cannot confirm his name on record because he is a minor and Bieber's camp has labeled accounts of the purported incident as "absolutely untrue."
